• An Introduction to Hakomi -- One or Two Day intro. to the Principles of Hakomi- Therapy, and the unique technical interventions that arise from them. Experiential and didactic. • Introduction to Experiential Couples Therapy -- a two-day exploration of the somatic approach to working with couples. Somatically oriented diagnosis and interventions. Experiential and didactic. • Waking Up from the Family Trance -- a two-day workshop introduces participants to concepts such as the "Family Body" and "Family Trance" and offers ways of exploring family dynamics using the Hakomi Method and movement. For personal and clinical applications. • Hakomi and Movement Therapy -- a two day introduction to the use of movement psychology within the context of Hakomi, Body-Centered Psychotherapy. Teachers draw from the movement forms of Emily Conrad D'Aoud (Continuum), Gabrielle Roth, and Authentic Movement. • Accessing the Divine -- An exploration at the interface of psychology and spirituality. How do we embrace or deny our divinity, and how can we lead lives more fully aware, vibrant and generous. An experiential, body-centered workshop, personal and professional. • Passages & Prayers -- Based on the research in Richard A. Heckler's book, Crossings, a one or two day investigations of the Great Passages of our lives. More a retreat than a workshop, we use meditation, contemplation, movement, and talks to explore the Psychology of the Unexpected, and how the unexpected, whether grace or loss, propels us to expand our lives. • Workshop Costs: 1-day workshops -- early reg $100, regular $125. 2-day workshops -- $195 early, $225 regular. • Structure: Composed of two, 9-month modules designed to teach the work at a basic (First Year) and then a more advanced level (Second Year). The Comprehensive Training represents the complete teaching of Theory and Technique of the Hakomi Method. • Training Style: Participants are taught through short-talks, skill-based experiential exercises, supervised practice, demonstrations, movement and video review. Student to staff ratio is usually about 4:1, to maximize supervision and feedback throughout the training. • Schedule: Trainings are scheduled from a Thursday afternoon through Sunday afternoon of a particular weekend, usually the second weekend of each month, beginning March and ending in December, with August off. • For Whom: This training has been taught for professional therapists and allied health workers, civic leaders, and clergy, who want to learn the method in its entirety, as well as for student of counseling and psychotherapy, educators, interns, and people transitioning into the field. • Cost: $3700 for 9 weekends...$3500 with early registration. • After the Comprehensive Training: Students often choose to follow up the Compre- hensive training with smaller training of various topics such as: Body-Centered Couples and Family Work, Character Theory, Movement and Hakomi, or Advanced Supervision.

• The Skills Training for Professionals offers exposure to Hakomi Principles and the unique intervention strategies which follow from them. Designed for mental health and other healing professionals. • Structure: Taught in a series of four modules in order to integrate theoretical material, skill-based exercises, one-on-one and small group supervision. • Style of Teaching: This training is taught through short-talks and experiential, skill- based, supervised practice and demonstration. Emphasis is on application of the method to existing clinical situations. Some video is used. • For Whom: This training is for licensed professionals who have limited time and a desire to integrate portions of the Hakomi Method into their practices. • Cost: $1450 for 1st module...$1200 with early registration. • After the Skills Training: Most of our training groups have chosen to follow the Skills Training with five-week modules of advanced supervision. Here, particular aspects of the method are highlighted, and participants are supervised in practice sessions with each other. Case consultation as well. In addition, students often follow this training with the 3-month seminar on Character Theory, entitled, Responding to Life.

• Responding to Life: A 10-Day Seminar in Hakomi-Based Character Theory and Therapeutic Strategy. Check with the Institute for next starting date. Cost: $1200 for 3 weekends...$1000 with early registration. • Experiential Couples Therapy: A 3-weekend training in Couples therapy, from a body-centered orientation. Diagnosis, therapeutic strategy, and interventions are taught and practiced. Check with the Institute for next starting date. • Advanced Supervision - For graduates of either the Comprehensive Training, or the Skills Training for Professionals. 5, half-day sessions of supervised practice, demonstration, case consultation, and applications to special populations and clinical situations.
