Making Friends with Anger*

with Scott Eaton, Certified Hakomi Teacher

February 1, 2003

San Francisco, CA

Anger, like all emotions, has energy that naturally wants to move and express itself. Many of us, out of fear, repress this energy and, as a result, feel cut off from our own deep sense of wholeness and power. Developing a positive relationship with this misunderstood emotion means taking responsibility for its presence in our lives and learning ways to express it which lead to a greater sense of empowerment and intimacy with ourselves and others.

This safe, supportive, and fun workshop is designed for those who seek effective tools and greater comfort in dealing with anger in themselves and/or with their clients.

In this one-day workshop, you will learn:
  • How anger can become a good friend and powerful ally
  • How to recognize our own natural feelings of anger and what to do with them
  • Somatic methods to work with and transform anger
  • Models for constructively expressing anger that leave us feeling empowered and effective.
